Brundage Mountain Resort’s expansive 10-year improvement plan is right on track, with the first phase of base area construction completed last month. The first piece of the newly designed base area is a two-story, 2,800 square foot building that now serves as the permanent home of Brundage Mountain’s Patrol headquarters. The next step in the evolution of the Brundage Mountain base area is a 12,000 square foot building that will be known as the “Mountain Adventure Center”, or MAC. Brundage Mountain plans to break ground on the MAC in spring of this year (2023).

Brundage Mountain kicked off full-time operations last Friday, December 2 with the BlueBird Express, Centennial Triple and Easy Street Triple chairs in action. A series of robust winter storms continues to drop pre-Christmas blessings on Brundage Mountain, and we now have all six chairlifts operating and 100 percent of our terrain open! More than five and a half feet (68 inches) of fresh snow has fallen since December 10, which has created a base area depth of 42” and a summit depth of 57”. The snow shows no signs of stopping. Forecasters are predicting significant amounts of snow every day for at least the next five days, with an additional five FEET of snow possible over the next week.

Brundage Mountain Resort is excited to welcome Sam Hess as the resort’s new Executive Chef. Hess brings 20 years of experience to the position. Sam is trained in the classic French style and has honed his culinary craft over the years by working in award-winning kitchens in New Orleans and Orlando. Hess has trained under Emeril Legasse, among other James Beard award winners, and has developed original restaurant concepts in Texas and the Bahamas. In recent years, Sam has been at the helm of some of Central Idaho’s finest restaurants.

Brundage Mountain’s Summer Season is set to open Friday, June 18, kicking off an action-packed lineup of summer activities and outdoor events. Brundage Mountain will be open Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays June 18-20 and June 25-27. Wednesday through Sunday operations begin June 30, with Bonus Days Monday, July 5, Tuesday, July 6 and Monday, September 6.

Ride the Blue Line: The Bigger, Better Bluebird Express Shuttle is Ready to Hit the Road!

The new Blue Line will operate on Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm, looping through the downtown corridor area (Super 8 to the Brundage Inn). On holiday weekends, it will run Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The new route will run all summer through Labor Day Weekend, then transition for its winter service to Brundage Mountain.

The last few days of any ski season always bring mixed bag of feelings and emotions. The entire Brundage Team would like to say thank you to YOU, all of our guests, for helping us get through the season. It wasn’t easy. There were some challenges. It wasn’t always fun. But in the end, we had some great times, we got to ski the Best Snow in Idaho, we had some amazing powder days, some fantastic bluebird sunny spring groomer days and had a ton of fun during this 135 day long ski season…all while keeping the Brundage vibe alive and sharing this all with you!

February 2021 Goes Down in the Books as Second Snowiest February on Record

A seemingly endless series of storms has dumped copious amounts of powder on Brundage Mountain, giving the resort its second snowiest February since monthly totals have been recorded. Brundage Mountain got measurable snowfall on 21 out of the 28 days in February, with a total of 88 inches of new accumulation at the base elevation and 93 inches at the summit.

Summer season came to a successful close earlier this week.
