Brundage Mountain Resort’s expansive 10-year improvement plan is right on track, with the first phase of base area construction completed last month. The first piece of the newly designed base area is a two-story, 2,800 square foot building that now serves as the permanent home of Brundage Mountain’s Patrol headquarters. The next step in the evolution of the Brundage Mountain base area is a 12,000 square foot building that will be known as the “Mountain Adventure Center”, or MAC. More than three feet of fresh snow has fallen on Brundage Mountain’s slopes since Thanksgiving Day. Brundage Mountain kicked off full-time operations last Friday, December 2 with the BlueBird Express, Centennial Triple and Easy Street Triple chairs in action. Starting this Friday, December 9, the Bear Chair and Lakeview Triple Chairs will be added to the mix. The Bear and Jammer runs will offer two sets of freestyle terrain park features.

A series of robust winter storms continues to drop pre-Christmas blessings on Brundage Mountain, and we now have all six chairlifts operating and 100 percent of our terrain open! More than five and a half feet (68 inches) of fresh snow has fallen since December 10, which has created a base area depth of 42” and a summit depth of 57”. The snow shows no signs of stopping. Forecasters are predicting significant amounts of snow every day for at least the next five days, with an additional five FEET of snow possible over the next week.

Summer season came to a successful close earlier this week. This year more than ever, it was rewarding to see so many of our loyal guests, along with many new guests, up here on the mountain enjoying all the summer recreation and relaxation opportunities that our area provides. Our team is already hard at work reimagining our winter operations. We will continue to fine-tune our operating plans as ski season draws closer, but we wanted to share some of our initial adjustments now, so our guests can get a feel for what will be different this winter.
