Brundage Mountain Resort plans to kick off the 2024/25 Winter Season with full time operations starting Friday, November 22. Winter storms have dropped 23 inches on the resort’s base area in the past week, providing the snow coverage needed for Brundage Mountain’s earliest opening in nearly two decades. Brundage plans to operate seven days a week, conditions permitting. We plan to run the Bluebird Express, Bear Chair and Easy Street Triple Chairs for opening day, with additional lifts and more terrain opening as soon as conditions permit.

Brundage Mountain Resort’s expansive 10-year improvement plan is right on track, with the first phase of base area construction completed last month. The first piece of the newly designed base area is a two-story, 2,800 square foot building that now serves as the permanent home of Brundage Mountain’s Patrol headquarters. The next step in the evolution of the Brundage Mountain base area is a 12,000 square foot building that will be known as the “Mountain Adventure Center”, or MAC. Brundage Mountain plans to break ground on the MAC in spring of this year (2023).

Brundage Mountain is excited to announce that all chairlifts will be in operation starting this Friday, December 9. More than three feet of fresh snow has fallen on Brundage Mountain’s slopes since Thanksgiving Day. Brundage Mountain kicked off full-time operations last Friday, December 2 with the BlueBird Express, Centennial Triple and Easy Street Triple chairs in action. Starting this Friday, December 9, the Bear Chair and Lakeview Triple Chairs will be added to the mix. The Bear and Jammer runs will offer two sets of freestyle terrain park features.

This year's December 2 opening will go down as one of the earliest full-time openings in recent memory. Over the last 16 seasons, Brundage Mountain has opened by December 2 only one other time, which was in 2020. A series of robust winter storms continues to drop pre-Christmas blessings on Brundage Mountain, and we now have all six chairlifts operating and 100 percent of our terrain open! More than five and a half feet (68 inches) of fresh snow has fallen since December 10, which has created a base area depth of 42” and a summit depth of 57”. The snow shows no signs of stopping. Forecasters are predicting significant amounts of snow every day for at least the next five days, with an additional five FEET of snow possible over the next week.
