100% Open!!! All Chairlifts & 1,920 Acres of Terrain are OPEN for the Season

12/23/21

A series of robust winter storms continues to drop pre-Christmas blessings on Brundage Mountain, and we now have all six chairlifts operating and 100 percent of our terrain open.

More than five and a half feet (68 inches) of fresh snow has fallen since December 10, which has created a base area depth of 42” and a summit depth of 57”. The lift operations team opened the Lakeview Triple Chair today and Ski Patrol opened the Hidden Valley zone Wednesday to reach that 100 percent open mark.

The snow shows no signs of stopping. Forecasters are predicting significant amounts of snow every day for at least the next five days, with an additional five FEET of snow possible over the next week.

Snow Report & Forecast Lift & Grooming Report

“It’s incredible how quickly the slopes have been transformed,” says General Manager, Ken Rider. “We still have early season conditions, but they’re REALLY GOOD early season conditions. With a series of cold snowstorms queued up, it’s definitely a December to remember.”

With large amounts of snow in the forecast not just on the mountain, but on the Valley County floor, skiers and riders are urged to travel safely and allow extra time to reach their destinations.

Day Tickets are available for sale, but must be purchased in advance, online. With the combination of great snow and Winter Break vacationers, peak days are likely to sell out.

Buy Lift Tickets Now

Brundage Mountain is putting caps on daily lift ticket sales in order to ensure a quality experience for all guests.

Brundage management wants people to be aware that some operations have been streamlined in order to adjust to staffing challenges. Food and beverage outlets are offering smaller menus, but indoor seating is available this season for those purchasing food from lodge facilities. Brundage has also increased the amount of outdoor seating available around the lodge for those who bring food from home.

“If you were among the guests who enjoyed the parking lot tailgate scene last winter, you may want to work that into your lunch plans again this year,” added Rider.

Light Up the Night Returns

Brundage is re-igniting a popular holiday tradition this year. The annual “Light Up the Night” party will return on Friday, December 31. The free event features a slope-side Fireworks Show, Torchlight Parade and Kids Glowstick Parade. Those who want to participate in the parades will want to sign up right away, as space is limited. Spectators should have plenty of space to enjoy the outdoor event in the Brundage base area.
