BREAKING NEWS: Brundage to Open all Lifts and More Terrain After 2.5 FEET of Snow Falls This Week
After eight straight days with fresh snowfall, Brundage Mountain is excited to announce a significant expansion in its open and groomed terrain. The resort now has all primary front side runs open and plans to open the Lakeview zone and Lakeview chairlift starting Saturday, January 13.
The independently owned ski resort received two and a half feet of fresh snow this week, including six new powdery inches overnight. (As of 1/12/2024) The ski area’s base now measures 31 inches at the base lodge level and 51 inches at the 7,640 foot summit.
The weekend forecast had originally called for continued heavy snow, but the storm pattern has shifted and weekend guests can now expect partly to mostly sunny skies over most of the upcoming three-day Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.
“Our team has done an outstanding job this week taking advantage of all the new snow to prep new areas for opening and expanding grooming operations,” says Brundage Mountain General Manager, Ken Rider. “We think our guests will be really impressed with the transformation on the mountain.”
Early season conditions still exist across the mountain, particularly in off-trail areas and on lower elevation slopes. Guests are highly encouraged to check the snow report and grooming report for daily updates on conditions, grooming, and terrain and to respect all remaining closures for their own safety.
“It’s been an incredible turnaround over the past eight days,” says Rider. “As of Saturday, we expect to have all lifts and almost all terrain open outside of the experts-only Hidden Valley zone. That’s going to give our weekend skiers and riders a lot of fun options to enjoy the conditions they’ve come to expect here at Brundage Mountain.”
Weekend lift service will include the Easy Street Triple, Bear Chair Triple, Lakeview Triple, BlueBird Express Quad and the brand new Centennial Express high-speed quad, which whisks riders from base to summit in just six minutes. All lodge services are open. Reservations are recommended for Mountain Sports School lessons and guests can save $20 on daily lift tickets by purchasing online.
