Fall Mountain Bike Trail Access 9/9/2026
Fall Mountain Bike Trail Access
Lift-served mountain bike operations at Brundage Mountain Resort are closed for the season, but you can still come ride the trails with your own pedal power!
During the fall shoulder season, our mountain bike trails will remain open for uphill and downhill access. The seasonal uphill access restriction has been lifted, so riders are welcome to pedal up and enjoy some fall miles on the mountain.
IMPORTANT: TRAIL CLOSURES
Active mountain operations and construction are underway during the fall. Trails and areas of the mountain may close at any time, with little or no advance notice.
A CLOSED TRAIL IS CLOSED TO ALL ACCESS. Do not enter, ride around, move, or cross closure signs, ropes, gates, barricades, equipment, or other closure devices. Closures may be in place for hazards that are not visible from the trail. If you encounter a closure, turn around and use another route.
Please keep the following in mind while riding:
- There are no on-mountain emergency or patrol services available. In the event of an emergency, call 911.
- Ride at your own risk and within your ability. Fall conditions can change quickly, and trails may not be regularly inspected or maintained.
- Report Trail Issues. Down trees, trail obstructions, etc…please send to [email protected] or 208-634-4151 option 2.
- Expect active mountain operations. Construction crews, heavy equipment, vehicles, trail work, and other projects may be present throughout the mountain.
- Obey all closures and posted signage. Never enter an active work zone or closed area.
- Respect private property and closed facilities. Do not enter buildings or areas that are not open to the public.
Preserve Our Trails — Avoid Muddy Conditions
Riding muddy trails is one of the leading causes of damage to Brundage’s trail system. Fall weather can create wet and muddy conditions quickly, so please help us preserve our trails:
- Stay off muddy trails. Pay attention to trail conditions. If you are leaving tracks, turn back.
- Stay on the trail. If you encounter a short stretch of mud, ride or walk directly through it. Do not go around muddy areas, as this damages trailside vegetation and leads to unnecessary trail widening.
A little care now helps keep Brundage trails in great shape for everyone.
Thanks for respecting the mountain, our trails, our crews, and each other while getting in a few more fall rides.
Enjoy the fall. We’ll see you this winter!
- Team Brundage
