Adaptive Lessons

awesomepic1Adaptive Wilderness Sports of McCall (AWeSOMe!) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people of all abilities through high quality outdoor experiences.

AWeSOMe! works in conjunction with Brundage Mountain Resort to offer ski and snowboard lessons for people with disabilities.  The program provides specialized adaptive equipment and teaching techniques to accommodate people with disabilities.

AWeSOMe! is a PSIA member ski & ride school.  All of our instructors are volunteers, and many are PSIA certified in adaptive instruction.  Adaptive techniques include 3-track, 4-track, mono-ski, bi-ski, snowboarding, guiding skiers/boarders with visual impairments, and teaching people with cognitive and developmental disabilities.  Lessons are conducted on a personalized, one-on-one basis with specially trained instructors.  All lessons are by appointment and are subject to availability of instructors.
