New Brundage Mountain Ski Patrol Building Marks Successful First Phase of Base Area Construction

Brundage Mountain Resort’s expansive 10-year improvement plan is right on track, with the first phase of base area construction completed last month. The first piece of the newly designed base area is a two-story, 2,800 square foot building that now serves as the permanent home of Brundage Mountain’s Patrol headquarters. The next step in the evolution of the Brundage Mountain base area is a 12,000 square foot building that will be known as the “Mountain Adventure Center”, or MAC. Idaho’s West Central Mountains are Fully Open to Ski and Ride

Skiers and snowboarders are in for a winter treat this month, as Idaho’s premier powder playground is already thriving thanks to a snowy November and early December. Tamarack Resort, near Donnelly, expects to have 100% of its terrain open by Saturday, Dec. 17 thanks to the abundant early-season snowpack. Brundage Mountain Resort, outside McCall, hit the 100% open mark on Friday, Dec. 9, and the Little Ski Hill, near McCall, will open on Saturday, Dec. 17. McCall’s Activity Barn Will Open for Snow Tubing Friday, December 16

McCall’s Activity Barn will offer gravity-fed thrills starting Friday, Dec. 16. The Snow Tubing hill, located two miles south of McCall, will open with three 800-foot tubing lanes, thanks to a combination of snowmaking and natural snowfall. Brundage Mountain Transforms a Historic Building Into Move-In Ready Employee Housing

Brundage Mountain Resort’s ongoing efforts to expand employee housing took a big leap forward this week with the completion of a unique remodeling project. Last spring, Brundage Mountain purchased a 10,000 square foot stucco building in New Meadows. The building served as Meadows Valley’s High School from 1940 into the early 1970s. The local landmark was completely remodeled over the summer and fall and saw its first new residents move in this month. Read More

Game On: All Chairlifts Open Starting Friday, December 9

Brundage Mountain is excited to announce that all chairlifts will be in operation starting this Friday, December 9. More than three feet of fresh snow has fallen on Brundage Mountain’s slopes since Thanksgiving Day. Brundage Mountain kicked off full-time operations last Friday, December 2 with the BlueBird Express, Centennial Triple and Easy Street Triple chairs in action. Starting this Friday, December 9, the Bear Chair and Lakeview Triple Chairs will be added to the mix. The Bear and Jammer runs will offer two sets of freestyle terrain park features.   Read More

Opening Day is always an exciting time, and with three feet of fresh snow falling this week, we’re even more stoked to welcome skiers and riders to the mountain. This year's December 2 opening will go down as one of the earliest full-time openings in recent memory. Over the last 16 seasons, Brundage Mountain has opened by December 2 only one other time, which was in 2020.
