Forest Service firefighters are continuing their work to suppress a fire burning near the top of Brundage Mountain, with multiple crews attacking from the ground and the air. The Rainbow Fire was sparked by lightning during a thunderstorm event on the evening of Wednesday, September 7. Read More

Brundage Mountain Details New Efforts to Preserve Healthy Whitebark Pine Stands

Work crews from the USDA Forest Service, Youth Conservation Corps and Brundage Mountain Resort are teaming up in an effort to conserve an at-risk species of tree. Whitebark pine (Pinus albicaulis) is in rapid decline across its range, which has led to it being proposed for federal listing as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. While the silver-gray skeletons of dead whitebark pine are one of the most recognizable features of Brundage Mountain’s summit ridge, Brundage is also home to some of the healthiest, blister rust resistant populations of living whitebark pine trees in Idaho. Big News: Centennial Triple Will Be Replaced With a High-Speed Quad as Part of $25-$30 Million in Resort Investments

Brundage Mountain Resort is pleased to announce that the Centennial Triple Chair will be replaced by a high-speed quad in time for the start of the Winter 2023-24 season. The front side lift upgrade is a key part of the resort’s 10-year improvement plan, which includes a new, modern, day lodge, on-site lodging and an extensive list of on-mountain recreation upgrades. Brundage Mountain is Hosting a FREE Music Festival and Expanding Hours for Fourth of July Week

Brundage Mountain is celebrating Independence Day 2022 with 5k/10k running events, an all-day concert and two extra days of operations. Brundage Mountain is now open Wednesdays through Sundays, with Bonus Days on Monday, July 4 & Tuesday, July 5. The Bluebird Express chairlift runs from 10 am – 4:30 pm on operating days. Read More

Skiing in June! Brundage Mountain to Offer Both Skiing and Mountain Biking for Opening Weekend of Summer Season

Brundage Mountain’s Summer Season is set to open Friday, June 17, but the Opening Weekend activities will look a lot different this year. Scenic Chairlift rides will be offered starting Friday, June 17, but Opening Weekend visitors will also have the opportunity to ski or snowboard off the summit, for some off-piste late spring skiing turns. A small terrain park will also be open on Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19. Read More

An 8.4-mile trail that connects the popular Bear Basin and Brundage Mountain trail systems has the green light to be built this summer, thanks to more than a decade of planning and an extensive public/private/community partnership spearheaded by CIMBA, the Central Idaho Mountain Bike Association. The multi-use single track trail will connect the 30+ mile Brundage Mountain Resort trail system with the 15-mile US Forest Service system in Bear Basin. Read More
