Food Lover's Guide to Brundage Mountain

01/15/21

Chef Geoff and his team are primed and ready to roll out some delicious food for you and your family. Here’s a rundown of your culinary options in this not-so-typical ski season:

Smoky’s Combines Gourmet Mac + Mexican Fare

Grab & Go Never Tasted So Good!

Choose from a tasty selection of house mac and cheese entrees or warm up with one of our craft tacos or burritos. The new walk-up menu offers flavors that are big and satisfying.

Your favorite cocktails and drafts are still available, along with a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. No indoor seating is available in the Smoky’s zone, but we have added additional seating on the outdoor decks and patios exclusively for those purchasing food from the lodge.

Back By Popular Demand: Chef Geoff’s GYRO Now Available at the Upper Lot

Grab a brew, Bloody Mary, or craft cocktail at the Upper Lot, now open Fridays through Mondays.

In addition to savory soups & bread bowls, you can now get a delicious gyro served with zesty Zapp’s chips. The menu is designed for quick service to maximize flavor and minimize wait times.

The Upper Lot is still 21 & Over, and has limited seating this season. You are welcome to take your gyro or bread bowl into another seating area if you have younger members in your crew.

House-Made & Hand-Held:

Grab a Bite at the Bear’s Den

Open 11 am – 3 pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays

The mid-mountain Bear’s Den is conveniently located at the top of the Bear Chair. In addition to hot chili and kid-favorite mac-and-cheese, Chef Geoff’s team is rolling out a house-made, hand-held treat: The “Mini Zone”. Choose the Jamaican Jerk, Green Chili Chicken, Black Bean Sweet Potato, Pizza Pocket or Ham & Cheese calzones. Remarkably delicious and designed to grab and go!

Flame Broiled Burgers from the Pop Up Grillin’ Posts

Nothing hits the spot quite like a flame-broiled burger, and our two “pop up” grillin’ posts offer burgers, brats, chicken skewers & beer with easy outdoor access! Your nose will tell you when these pop up venues are open and lead you to the right spots on the 2nd & 3rd level of the lodge!

And don’t forget, burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, pizza, salads, sandos, fresh fruit, fries and tots are always available at the Main Street Market on the 3rd level. These offerings are designed to grab & go so you can head for the decks & patios or enjoy at your vehicle! There is limited indoor seating available on the top floor (Main Street Market level).

REMINDERS:

Indoor seating AND outdoor seating around the lodge is for those purchasing food FROM THE LODGE ONLY. Because of this season’s capacity limitations, we are asking guests to occupy tables for 20 minutes or less.

Those bringing food from home must eat that food at their vehicles. We simply do not have the space to share this season. Please think of our lodge space like a restaurant: Just like you wouldn’t bring your own appetizers to the Bardenay patio (or indoor/outdoor restaurant of your choice) we are asking you not to bring your outside food to the lodge.

For Those Choosing The Tailgate Scene:

Social Distance Can Still Be Social

We want to thank everyone who has heeded the call to use your vehicle as a ‘base camp’ this season.

Booting up and suiting up in the parking lots is helping keep our indoor spaces open for those using the lodge for essential functions. While Brundage Mountain encourages a vibrant ‘tailgating scene’, we do want to remind everyone to follow the parking lot rules so we can make sure there is space for everyone to enjoy:

Your Parking Lot Setup:

Brundage Mountain’s visitors have a long-standing talent for creating a fun, festive vibe in the tailgate zone. And this is definitely the season to keep that tradition alive!

While we are encouraging our guests to use their vehicles as their ‘day lodge’, that doesn’t change the reality that parking lots get crowded over weekends and holidays. This is where the ‘Old School’ RULES come in to play. You can review all Parking Rules and Regulations here, but a few of the key points include:

  • Do not reserve spaces for others; parking is first-come, first-served
  • Tents and other structures must fit with your vehicle within a single designated space. You may NOT use a second space for your tent or tailgate set up.
  • The best TENT ZONE is in the front row abutting the Cat Track in the Lower (Centennial) Lot
  • Tents are allowed ONLY on ungroomed, unplowed snow surfaces around the perimeter of the parking lots.

Pack it in, pack it out. Any violation of the parking regulations can be cause for vehicle towing and removal from Brundage Mountain premises. You don’t want your car towed, we don’t want to tow your car, so please, just follow the rules so we can all enjoy that fun parking lot vibe!

And, for those who roll with their full setup self-contained, please remember that overnight camping is not allowed from Jan 16 – 18, 2021 OR Feb 12 – 15, 2021. Winter RV Camping Rules

Stashing Your Stuff & Gearing Up:

Bags, backpacks and gear must be kept in one of two places this season: In your vehicle or in one of the new day lockers in the First Level breezeway outside the lodge. There is NO indoor space in the lodge for booting up and suiting up this year. That all needs to happen at your vehicle. The ‘locker room’ area is for those who have leased season-long lockers ONLY. For everyone else, booting up and suiting up happens in the parking lots. No exceptions.

COOLERS must be kept in your vehicle. Tables and seating around the lodge are reserved for THOSE PURCHASING FOOD FROM THE LODGE ONLY. If you brought food from home, you must consume that at your personal base camp, aka, your vehicle. Thanks in advance for your cooperation!
