We had quite a wild ride this morning after Mother Nature threw a bit of a temper tantrum last night. Wild winds and a soaking rainstorm knocked out power on the mountain and dampened our hopes first thing this morning.

We started the day on backup power and with the BlueBird Quad on ‘wind hold’. But we held on through the wide ride and were eventually rewarded for our patience and persistence.

The wind died down and we were able to open the BlueBird Quad by 11:30. Shortly after, power was restored, along with our sense of optimism.

The smiles came out right alongside the traditional DIva Day costumes.

Even Bruno donned a little Diva Day flair.

Divas big and small were out spreading smiles around the mountain. Our littlest Diva, Piper, was also sharing hugs with her brother Charlie.

In the end, Mother Nature proved to be the only gal around with a true ‘Diva’ attitude.

But even that softened as the day wore on. Despite the forecast, we only saw a few light sprinkles today, and we even saw some blue skies.

Our friends at Spa Del Sol spread their light, hosting our “Snowga” practice…

…and treating our girl-guests to free chair massages.

The Susan G Komen foundation was here with a fun spin-to-win game and scavenger hunt to help us celebrate women’s health.

Rebecca Scott kept the vibe going in Smoky’s Bar & Grill while our happy hour crowd awaited the generous spa package giveaways provided by Spa Del Sol.
