Little by Little

03/25/11

It’s been over a week now since we’ve had a really intense snowstorm.

You know, the kind that dumps a huge pile all at once and triggers both powder alerts and that “Gee boss, I think I’m coming down with something” affliction.

That’s why some of us where caught by surprise when we found ourselves boot-deep in dry, fluffy powder today!

We have had fresh snow almost every day this week. And little by little, bit by bit, the powdery goodness smoothed over the tracks and floated its way into some soft, fluffy deposits.

Don’t be fooled by the springtime date on the calendar, either. This is light powder. Check out how it poofs up over the tips of my skis.

The slopes were so soft and forgiving, our visitors were still scoping out fresh powder lines late into the afternoon.

And it looks like we could see more of these ‘stealth’ powder days. Low overnight temperatures and a consistent chance of fresh snow has us optimistic.

Tonight: 1 to 3 inches possible

Saturday: 1 to 3 inches possible

Saturday Night: 3 to 5 inches possible

Sunday: 1 to 2 inches possible

Sunday Night: 1 to 3 inches possible

Monday: 1 to 3 inches possible

Those aren’t huge numbers. But as we’ve seen this week, that snow can pile up – little by little – and bring us nice, BIG blessings – like this:

– April
