The Spirit of Crazy Daze

04/03/11

Our annual Crazy Daze celebration was greeted by some of the craziest spring weather we’ve ever seen. We had rain, snow, sleet, hail, fog and even a bit of sunshine for this year’s Crazy Daze event.

But the unpredictable weather couldn’t put a damper on the spirit of Crazy Daze. Hundreds of people showed up for our Spring Fling in a variety of costumes.

Our employees sported some of the craziest looks.

Here’s a look at the best of the best, and some of the rest:

Our crack team of swashbucklers was serving up more than “Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of rum”….

Guest Services: The oldest profession???

Upstairs, the “Burger King” himself is on the grill.

And for Jill, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Here’s a true Idaho Spud.

“Captain Ice Cube” can skim a pond, and administer first aid…

As far as the visitors go, the plastic wrap dress was a popular costuming choice early in the day…

Others expressed themselves with creative hairstyles:

The Kids Center was invaded by Punk Rockers:

Even if you didn’t show up in a costume, the photo board allowed everyone to “Rock it”.

It was also the scene of one of our newer traditions, the Kid’s Pinata Party

Some of the costumes were so inspired, they were in the running for prizes:

These three folks won the award for Best Group Costume.

And the competition for Best Individual Costume was fierce:

Retro Hottie

Retro Not-So-Hottie

Dirty Laundry

Hamburgler

Space Explorer

But the winner was:

Captain Ice Cube!
