Brundage Surpasses 100 Inch Mark!

12/25/08

christmas-snowSanta Claus delivered more than 13 inches of fresh powder to Brundage Mountain this Christmas Day, pushing the resort’s total season snowfall over the 100 inch mark. Brundage Mountain opened Saturday, December 20th, and has had new snow EVERY day this season, with significant accumulations during five of those six days.

A total of 42 inches of snow has fallen on Brundage Mountain in the last week, and visitors are giving rave reviews on the powder.

After finishing his deliveries last night, Santa Claus decided to relax and enjoy himself by taking several powder runs at Brundage Mountain.

“Brundage is one of my favorite places to ski because the snow is always top-notch and the people there are so friendly,” said Mr. Claus.

The 100 inch milestone is significant, especially considering the late start most Idaho ski areas got this year. The average TOTAL season snowfall at Brundage is 320 inches.

“Our slopes have undergone a HUGE transformation in the past week,” said resort spokesperson, April Russell. “Our whole mountain is now open, with the exception of Hidden Valley, and this last blast of powder has made for really delightful skiing and riding both on the groomed runs and off-trail.”

Brundage Mountain plans to run all five chairlifts all through the holiday period. Lifts run daily from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.
