Brundage Logs 19” of Fresh Snow This Week

03/31/10

Brundage Mountain  is getting pounded by fresh powder as it heads into one of the most exciting weekends of the entire season.

Brundage has seen 19 inches of fresh powder in the last seven days, and another four to ten inches is expected before the weekend.

“The powder off-trail is light and fluffy, and the slopes are completely refreshed,” said resort spokesperson, April Russell. “It’s setting us up with terrific mid-winter snow conditions heading into one of our most exciting weekends of the season.”

Brundage Mountain’s 4th Annual Pond Skimming Contest is the marquis event of this year’s Crazy Daze celebration, and the ski area is adding two new features this year, a Big Air Contest and a Rail Jam. All of these events are this Saturday, April 3rd.

This Sunday, April 4th is “Gimme A Break” Day. That means kids 17 & under get FREE lift tickets.

“Our snow base is looking terrific right now with 59-80 inches on the mountain,” added Russell, “We’re optimistic that we can continue to add ‘Bonus Weekends’ this season as we have done for the past four years now.”

Brundage Mountain plans to operate seven days a week through Sunday, April 11th. As in recent years, the ski area will add as many “Bonus Weekends” as possible, operating Saturdays and Sundays beyond that date as long as snow conditions allow.

Here’s a rundown of the upcoming weekend events:
