Musical March is On The Way

02/24/14

MusicalMarchSpring is coming and we are excited to celebrate the season by hosting amazing musicians every Saturday in March!

Come listen to these Idaho favorites and enjoy some epic spring days! Music is from 2-5 pm, in Smoky’s Bar & Grill (or outside if the weather is right) and is FREE!

Here’s a closer look at the great musicians headed our way:

Saturday, March 1: INNOCENT MAN

Innocent Man plays honest Rock & Roll, fostered with Americana, while pursuing the unending development of the band’s musical abilities. By using deep heartfelt lyrics that reflect shared life experiences, tasteful guitar, premier fiddle, driving rhythms, and graceful melodies, Innocent Man comes through as a breath of fresh air that dabbles with acoustic echoes of the past. With a hunger to constantly create great compositions, the members of Innocent Man continue to push the conceptual limitations of music.

With an original sound that is hard to define, Innocent Man brings elements of Outlaw Country, reminiscent of acts like Wilco, The Wood Brothers & Johnny Cash, along with glimmers of Classic-Rock such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top & The Band, combined with Jam-Band grooves resembling those of Phish, The Grateful Dead & Assembly Of Dust.

For more information about Innocent Man and to listen to their music follow this link.  Or come join us March 1 to experience it for yourself!

 Saturday, March 8: REBECCA SCOTT

Rebecca Scott has been performing her unique brand of folk-rock in the Northwest for over 19 years. For the seventh straight year, Rebecca was named Best Singer for 2011 in the Boise Weekly’s coveted Best of Boise Readers’ Choice Awards.

“This comes as no surprise. Year after year the girl with the amazing pipes takes top honors. She’s not only an amazing songstress but an accomplished guitar player, and any time she and her band are playing, we know it’s going to be a good time.” –Boise Weekly

Saturday, March 15: JEFF MOLL

Jeff is a local musician specializing in a combination of indie rock, blues, and country. He is a favorite you won’t want to miss!

Tom is a local favorite performing covers and originals that you won’t want to miss! You may have seen him perform at Crusty’s Pizza and other places around McCall!

Saturday, March 29th: BREAD & CIRCUS

Bread & Circus play melodically stout, catchy yet kitschy, steep southern boogie music with a pinch of white bread soul rolled in a metric ton of improvisational rock and roll. Originally composed songs played in earnest and always with honesty jam-packed with a creative and expressive nature. Hell bent and quite content on making you move your feet and soothing the soul. Musical influences include but are not limited to: Little Feat, The Band, Black Crowes, Wilco, Ryan Adams, The Grateful Dead and Phish.

We’re excited to welcome all these acts and hope you’ll come join us for Musical March!
