Local Impact: Brundage Releases First Ever Community Giving Report

01/14/25

Brundage Mountain Resort has released its first-ever Annual Giving Report, highlighting a transformative year of contributions and community partnerships aimed at promoting recreation, sustainability, and well-being across Idaho’s West Central Mountains.

In 2024, Brundage donated more than $75,000 in cash and product to 51 nonprofit organizations, underscoring its commitment to being “nature forward, family forward, and community forward.”

Key highlights include:

  • Launch of the Brundage Community Fund: Established through the Idaho Community Foundation, the fund’s first $10,000 grant supported the New Meadows Mehen Memorial Skate Park project, honoring community leaders Rory and Sara Mehen.
  • “Good Music/Good Deeds” Summer Concert Series: The resort partnered with six local nonprofits to raise awareness and $3,500 in donations during its free summer concerts. Beneficiaries included Friends of the Payette Avalanche Center, Roots Forest School, McCall Arts & Humanities Council, and others.
  • Employee Volunteer Program: Brundage introduced paid volunteer time for employees, resulting in nearly 100 hours of community service to local organizations in the new program’s first few months.
  • Emergency Services Enhancements: The creation of the Brundage Mountain Fire Protection Agency and expanded EMS services based at and funded by the resort strengthened emergency response capabilities through mutual aid agreements with neighboring agencies.
  • Holiday “Stuff the Snowcat” Drive: Guests and employees donated toys and nonperishable food items for local families, with youth bikes distributed through a partnership with the Payette Bicycle Movement.

“Brundage is committed to having a positive impact on our place, our people, and our community,” said Ken Rider, general manager. “Our enhanced Community Giving Program is creating new avenues for us to support non-profits and other organizations that share those core values, and we’re excited to build on the progress made this year.”

The resort supported a diverse range of organizations in 2024, including the Little Ski Hill, Central Idaho Mountain Biking Association, and AWeSoMe!, among many others.

A full list of the organizations supported is included in Brundage Mountain’s 2024 Community Giving Report.
