It’s easy to get revved up and re-energized when you hear about the arrival of a foot of fresh snow. But this week, we’re finding that even a few inches of the fresh stuff has the power to transform our slopes, and perhaps more importantly, our outlook.

Officially, we got one inch in the snowboxes yesterday. But there was enough fresh, fluffy stuff on the upper mountain to allow for some soft, forgiving turns off-trail.

It’s been a while since I’ve had powder curl up around my boots or gently pile on my skis.

Gotta say, it brought a smile to my face and a lightness to my heart!

Just as importantly, getting a few inches of fresh snow each week has allowed our grooming crews to do wonders with our groomed runs. Today, we had an awesome combination going on. Slopes were a little bit FLUFFY…

Smooth and cold enough to be FAST…

But yet, still FORGIVING.

It always feels great to breathe in the fresh air and soak in the alpine views.

But today, we were also reminded of how a little bit of snow can provide a LOT of inspiration.
