Brundage Mountain Resort Launches Year-Round Community Daycare Program

05/11/26

State-certified childcare program addresses a critical community need

Brundage Mountain Resort is expanding its childcare offerings with the launch of a new year-round community daycare program inside the recently opened Mountain Adventure Center (MAC).

The Idaho state-certified daycare facility is now open to local families Monday through Friday and is one of only a handful of childcare providers in the area that accepts Idaho Child Care Program (ICCP) assistance. Brundage Mountain Resort became an approved ICCP provider on April 15 and is believed to be the first ski resort in Idaho to participate in the program.

The addition comes as families across Valley and Adams Counties continue to face limited childcare availability and long waiting lists for subsidized care.

“We know how hard it can be for local families to find quality childcare, especially care that fits real-world schedules,” said Zach Miller, MTN Sports School Director at Brundage Mountain Resort. “We already had this beautiful space, an experienced team and people who genuinely love working with kids, so opening it up to the community felt like the right thing to do. Strong communities need services like this if we want families to be able to live, work and thrive here long term.”

Monday through Friday Year-Round Care

Located inside the MAC facility at the base of the mountain, Brundage Daycare features a bright, custom-designed space created specifically for young children, along with easy access to an outdoor lawn and play area just outside the door. The daycare serves children ages 6 months through 6 years old in a clean, welcoming environment designed to support learning, creativity and active play.

All daycare providers are certified in Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid, and every staff member has completed a comprehensive background check.

The year-round daycare program operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is available now to local families seeking dependable childcare while they work, recreate or navigate busy schedules.

Current monthly rates include:

  • Infants (6-18 months): Daily – $60, Monthly – $1,250
    • Toddlers (19 months-3 years): Daily – $55 – Monthly – $1,050
    • Preschool (3-6 years): Daily – $50, Monthly – $1,000

Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance. Families planning to utilize ICCP benefits will also need to complete additional program paperwork prior to attending.

Families interested in applying for childcare assistance through the Idaho Child Care Program can learn more through the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Upcoming Daycare Open House

Brundage Mountain is hosting an open house for those interested in touring and learning more about the Brundage Daycare facilities and services. The open house is Friday, May 22, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Park in the upper lot and head to the Mountain Adventure Center.

No Change to Ski Season Daycare for Guests

The new community daycare program will complement — not replace — Brundage Mountain’s existing winter guest daycare services, which will continue operating during the ski season Wednesday through Sunday for children ages 18 months to 6 years old. Winter daycare options include full-day and half-day sessions for visiting families enjoying the mountain.
