Are You Beeping? Beacon Checkpoint Offers Another Layer of Safety

01/09/21

GREEN means GO, RED means NO!  The new “Are you Beeping?” beacon check station is in service at the Ridge Gate behind Patrol Headquarters!

Those leaving the ski area patrolled boundary into the backcountry should always check local avalanche conditions at www.avalanche.org, check the Brundage snow report for open/closed status of the terrain and utilize the entrance behind patrol headquarters for access.

Please note: The ridge access is closed daily at 3:30pm. The terrain beyond the patrolled boundary is for TRUE EXPERTS only. This ungroomed area contains cliffs, steep narrow chutes, tight trees, hidden creeks, tree wells and other hazards.

Team Brundage wants to thank the Friends of the Payette Avalanche Center for putting donations into action and Patroller Eric Taplin for setting it all up!
