A BRRRRRRRilliant Day

02/20/10

It’s been a stunning day on the mountain ever since the sun came up, but, man is it chilly!!!

We started out with 9 degrees at the summit and 15 at the base area this morning, and while the base hit 23 degrees by midday – the temperature isn’t budging a bit up on top. Add to that 10-20 mph winds at the summit and there is a certain undeniable crispness to the air. Surprisingly, that’s not stopping anyone from having a good time today. And it’s not just the sunshine and fun slope conditions keeping that warm, fuzzy feeling alive. Here are a few examples of how folks are beating the chill…

#1 Be Prepared – Bundle Up

#2 Buddy Up – Find someone cuddly to cozy up to

#3 Get the Blood Pumping – 1,800 feet of lunges will do the trick

#4 Reach for the Sun – I’m sure it’s warmer way up there where his hand is

#5 Blaze Your Own Trail – variety is the spice of life

#6 – Let your Inner Light Shine – Smiles are always contagious

(Left to Right…)

#7 – Let Your Surroundings Inspire you
#8 – Share Time With Friends
#9 – Smile for the camera
#10 – Warm up from the inside with a tasty beverage

Those suggestions should get you started – let me know if you have some tricks of your own!
