Letter from the General Manager
As we wrap up Brundage Mountain’s 65th winter season, I’ve been reflecting on what defined this year—and one word keeps coming to mind: passion.
We kicked things off on December 6 with one of our “Free Ski” weekends on Easy Street. Not exactly the start we had envisioned, but if there’s one thing Team Brundage does well, it’s showing up with the right attitude. From day one, our crew put on their party shirts, rolled with the conditions, and committed to making the most of every single day.
And that mindset carried us through all 118 days of the season.
This winter brought some of the lowest snow totals in Brundage’s recorded history—and across much of the western U.S.—but you wouldn’t know it from the experience our team delivered. Passion, in its truest sense, means showing up with enthusiasm and commitment, even when the circumstances are challenging. It’s about loving what you do enough to push through the tough days.
That’s exactly what our team did.
From early mornings to late nights, every department worked together to create the best possible experience for our guests. Whether it was keeping terrain open, finding creative solutions, or simply bringing a positive energy to the mountain, Team Brundage showed what it means to care deeply about this place and the people who come here.
We recently celebrated that effort at our annual end-of-season gathering—the “Brundies.” It’s one of my favorite traditions, where we recognize the individuals and teams who went above and beyond, share a few laughs, and reflect on what it took to get through the season together.
A couple of highlights worth sharing:
- Slope Maintenance, our “Heroes of the Night,” worked tirelessly to groom an average of 245 acres each evening. In a year like this, their work was nothingshort of remarkable—keeping a patchwork of terrain skiable when it didn’t always seem possible.
- Ski Patrol, our “Heroes of the Day,” kept a constant watch on mountain conditions, ensuring guest safety while also leading countless “shovel brigade” efforts to maintain access and keep trails open.
These teams—and every single person across the mountain—played a role in making this season work.
And of course, none of it matters without you.
To our season passholders, 4PAK holders, and day guests: thank you. Thank you for showing up, for embracing the conditions, and for continuing to support this mountain. Your passion for skiing and riding—and for that low-key, family-friendly Brundage vibe—is what keeps this place special. Quite simply, this season would have looked very different without you.
As we close the chapter on this winter, I’m incredibly proud of what our team accomplished and deeply grateful for the community that surrounds this mountain. Seasons like this remind us why we do what we do—and who we do it for.
Thank you for being part of it.
We’ll see you back on the mountain soon.
