Touching Young Lives: The McCall Winter Sports Club

09/18/17

Brundage Mountain is proud to partner with the McCall Winter Sports Club. The MWSC is in the middle of its annual membership drive. Members enjoy a wide variety of great benefits, but also enjoy the satisfaction of being part of a great community effort.

Elliot Guest – MWSC ‘Big Mountain’ Athlete:

I have always had a passion for skiing, but the program has made me love it even more. It has taught me how fun it can be to travel off the ski resort, how I can travel safely when I am out in the backcountry, and how to save myself or someone else if an emergency arises. Without the scholarship money, it would have been hard for me to pursue my goals. This money has allowed for me to get my AIARE level I certification, work with the Sawtooth Mountain Guides, and ski resorts like Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee.   This program has helped me choose what I want to pursue in life.  I plan to go into the Outdoor Leadership, and pursue the professional realm of skiing, either guiding or coaching.
