Top Three Ways to Beat the Heat in Style

08/01/12

July 2012 was one of the hottest on record, and according to the experts
August will bring us more of the same.

Here at Brundage Mountain we want to help you beat the heat while still enjoying some of your favorite outdoor activities. Here are our TOP THREE suggestions to cool off without holing up inside:

1. Hit a MOUNTAIN Music Festival

There are some great music festivals around our area, but the summer heat can make those outdoor venues downright stifling. No such worries for this weekend’s IdahoDown Music Festival, where high temperatures
are expected to top out at a comfortable 81 degrees. That means you can kick off your shoes and do some dancing without wilting in the sunshine. The best part? Camping is free with your concert ticket, and tickets are just $30 per day or $50 for the whole weekend. Full details are available here.

2. Let Nature Be Your Air Conditioner

When air temperatures peak, it’s important to keep your core body temperature low. Instead of blasting the AC, try splashing in the gorgeous whitewater of Central Idaho.

Starting August 7th, Brundage Whitewater Adventures will be slashing the price of a half-day raft trip on the lower Salmon River to just $55 for adults and $45 for youth 12 & under. That’s a $14 discount off regular prices. Make your reservation now to make sure you don’t miss out on this amazing value!

Or learn more about our raft trips here.

3. Harness Some Wind Power

You don’t need to be an expert mountain biker to feel the cool breeze in your face at Brundage Mountain. Just heading up to our higher elevation will save you 5-10 degrees of heat. Take a scenic ride to the summit and you’re likely to feel a gentle
summer breeze add to the refreshing sensation.

For those looking for a little more action, we have 20+ miles of hand-built single
track, PLUS a brand new Four-Cross Course. Check out the goods here.

Summer lift service is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day weekend.

We’re also offering a special deal for our final day of the summer season.

You’ll enjoy DOUBLE DISCOUNTS on Monday,  September 3rd when you present one of these coupons.

We’ll double the discount on any of  our lift-served mountain biking or scenic chairlift
ride coupons, by allowing TWO  PEOPLE to ride for one discount price.

You can print out this page (clippable coupons are below) or  pick up extra coupons
at any of our McCall-area or Treasure Valley partners found here.

Present a coupon on Double Discount  Day and you’ll enjoy TWO scenic chairlift rides
for just $8 or TWO mountain bike  rides for just $10. That’s even better than a
regular  two-for-one will make our closing day twice the  fun!

(Regular prices: Scenic Chairlift  ride: $10 per person. Single Bike ride: $15 per
person)
