The Silver Lining

01/14/12

They say every cloud has a silver lining, and we are truly feeling that today as we watch the clouds roll in and re-ignite our passion for powder.

We’ve had days on end of sunny, groomerific conditions, but we are ready for some fresh, deep snow!

As we watched the cloud cover move in today, we also watched a few exciting things developing in the forecast, and it looks like we could be in for a treat very soon!

The latest version of the forecast says we could get some snow as early as tonight, but more likely tomorrow. By Wednesday, it’s showing REALLY large percentages in the ‘chance of snow’ column.

We had a lot of enthusiastic skiers and riders on the mountain today enjoying the corduroy.

The south-side of the mountain was especially smooth and carvable.

Bear, Thumper and Griz were popular runs today. We found a lot of novice skiers and riders working on their skills under the tutelage of a parent….

Or one of our helpful instructors.

Bruno the Bear was out making new friends.

Our new mascot even got invited to a birthday party today!

Our friends from The Boardroom were also on hand to let our visitors try out the very latest in snowboard demos.

HomeTown Sports from McCall was also here with a full assortment of demo skis.

D0wn in the lower lot, we fired up the grill for a BEER-B-QUE.

There’s nothing like the smell of grilled burgers to ignite the appetite!

Snow lovers of all ages flocked to Smoky’s Bar & Grill to warm up and relax.

The new family-friendly area is a big hit.

But as always, the real attraction is what’s happening on the slopes.

And with more of the white fluffy stuff headed our way soon, it’s hard to see these clouds as anything but a blessing.
