What Are You Waiting For?
With over an inch of new snow yesterday and SUPER cold temperatures overnight, I was eager to hit the slopes today and feast on some of that sweet corduroy.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get out of the office until well after noon. I expected to find that all that soft, silky corduroy had been devoured by my carve-hungry comrades. But as it turned out, there was fresh corduroy to be found on nearly every part of the mountain!
I didn’t even need to venture far from the chairlift to find wide open, nearly untouched slopes, just begging for some edges.
Bear had bear-ly been touched – even hours after the lifts had opened.
Eventually, some post-lunch-time riders showed up to lay down some wide, tasty turns.
I know some people aren’t motivated to hit the slopes without fresh powder, but I know for a fact, they are missing out.
Sinking an edge into a soft, silky slope can still defy gravity.
And soaking up the sunshine during a smooth, relaxing ride is hard to beat.
Perhaps, some underestimated the power of a single inch of snow.
But those who hit the slopes today were rewarded with rich, effortless turns…
…and very little competition for the good stuff.
Even a little bit of snow can have a huge impact when overnight temperatures are SO cold. It’s a trend that forecasters think will continue through the weekend.
The slopes are ready and waiting for your edges to glide through their re-freshed, refined ridges. So the question is: What are YOU waiting for?
