Bluebird Express opening Expands Full-Time Operations at Brundage Mountain
Bluebird Express, Bear Chair and Easy Street Now Open Seven Days a Week
Brundage Mountain Resort has officially transitioned into full-time winter operations for the 2025–26 season, with expanded lift service and growing

terrain offerings fueled by a series of winter storms delivering steady snowfall to the region.
Winter weather has brought 16 to 19 inches of new snow since Thursday, including six inches since Saturday afternoon, allowing Brundage to open additional lifts and upper mountain terrain. The Easy Street chairlift reopened Saturday, December 20, followed by the Bear Chair on Sunday, December 21. The Bluebird Express chairlift will open for the season and operate seven days a week starting Monday, December 22. All lifts now operate daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
With the opening of Bluebird Express, guests can access nearly 1,800 vertical feet of skiing and riding. Brundage expects to have at least nine runs open by Monday, with Alpine groomed top to bottom alongside Badger, Easy Street, Pizza Pie, Tater Tot, and Roller Coaster. Griz, Jammer, Chipmunk, and Red Fox are also expected to be open, with additional terrain opening as conditions allow.
“Our team has been working tirelessly to open lifts and terrain as soon as Mother Nature gives us the snow,” said Brundage Mountain General Manager Ken Rider. “Adding the Bluebird Express means guests can ski or ride a full 1800 vertical and we are stoked to deliver that. Our team is pushing hard to open more lifts and terrain just as soon as it’s safe to do so.”
Forecast models predict a continued storm cycle, with colder systems arriving just in time for Christmas. Brundage could receive up to three feet of additional snowfall through December 27, creating strong potential for further lift and terrain expansion heading into New Year’s week. Mountain Operations teams are making careful, hour-by-hour assessments and will continue opening terrain as soon as it is safe to do so.
All mountain lift tickets are currently priced at $65 for adults, seniors, teens, and military, with junior tickets available for $55. For skiers and riders looking to stay on beginner and intermediate terrain, the Beartopia ticket offers access to Bear Chair and Easy Street Chairlift. Ticket pricing may adjust as additional lifts and terrain come online.
Guests are encouraged to check the Brundage Snow Report regularly for the latest updates on lift operations, terrain availability, hours, and ticket pricing, as conditions can change quickly during active storm cycles.
Holiday events remain on schedule, including a visit from Santa Claus on Christmas Day and the annual Light Up the Night Celebration on New Year’s Eve.
