This is Brundage Mountain’s sixth nomination in the People’s Choice contest. Brundage won Top 10 honors in the category of North America’s Best Ski Resorts three years in a row, earning the top spot for a US resort in 2020. The MTN Sports School has now been nominated three times in the Best Ski School category.

Why Brundage?

According to USA Today, top-tier ski schools bring together friendly and experienced instructors, varied terrain, the right equipment, and an eye towards safety.

The USA Today panel praised the Brundage Tiny Tracks program for offering an innovative approach to tailor the private coaching experience to the individual needs of the youngest learners, “The Ski and Ride School at Brundage Mountain Resort welcomes skiers and snowboarders ages 3 to 6 to enroll in their Tiny Tracks lessons, and they even allow parents who can already ski to join the lesson at no cost,” noted the panel.

Affordable Brundage Beginner Programs Cater to Families

“Brundage Mountain’s kid’s programs have a long history of offering quality instruction at an accessible price,” says Brundage Mountain general manager, Ken Rider. “As an independent resort, we have the freedom to tailor lesson programs to the needs of our guests, even as those needs may evolve over the years.”

One of the highest value programs offered by the Brundage MTN Sports School is the Brundage Starter Pak. Beginner skiers and snowboarders get four (4) 90-minute PRIVATE lessons with lift access, plus four full days of ski or snowboard rentals. After the fourth lesson, the guest receives a 2025/26 season pass. The Starter Pak costs just $499 for beginners aged 7-17 (a $1,700 value) which Adults 18 and over can purchase the Starter Pak for just $999 (a $2,200 value).

$30 Beartopia Lift Tickets

The Brundage MTN Sports School benefits from exceptional learning terrain, which is serviced by the Easy Rider conveyor, the Easy Street Triple Chair and the Bear Chair Triple in an area known as Beartopia.

Beartopia encompasses 16 different runs, three small terrain parks and an array of playful experiences that keep kids — and adult learners — engaged and challenged while they build their confidence. The naturally divided terrain allows instructors to help first-timers master fundamental skills on gentle slopes before progressing to a slightly more challenging area.

Investing in the Beginner Journey

New terrain design and facilities strengthen the resort’s long-standing commitment to accessible, high-quality instruction.

Brundage Mountain’s Easy Street learning area has been widened and recontoured for the upcoming 2025-26 winter season to maximize terrain sensations and give beginners even more options on their learning journey.

The new MTN Adventure Center, which opened in Winter 2025-26, features a bright modern space designed specifically to meet the needs of Brundage Mountain’s year-round coaching and learning programs.

McCall Nominated for Best Ski Town Honors

Brundage Mountain is a short eight-mile drive from scenic McCall, Idaho, which was also recognized by USA TODAY. McCall was nominated for Best Ski Town.

Nestled in the Payette National Forest, McCall is a true mountain town with authentic character and exceptional snow. Averaging 200–300 inches of snowfall each winter, it offers access to three alpine ski areas, miles of Nordic trails, and a laid-back community spirit that makes visitors feel right at home.
