Brundage Mountain Forms Community Fund to Boost Support for Local Non-Profits

12/18/23

Brundage Mountain Holdings LLC, the parent company of Brundage Mountain Resort, is excited to announce the formation of the Brundage Mountain Community Fund (BMCF) through the Idaho Community Foundation.

The goal of the new fund is to support and enhance the community where Brundage Mountain employees and guests work, live and play.

“Brundage believes that a thriving community creates happier employees and guests,” says Kristin Hoff Sinclair, Brundage Mountain Community Fund Chairperson. “There are so many non-profit organizations in the West Central Mountains doing truly meaningful work for our community. The purpose of this new fund is to provide general operating funds to help support those groups.”

“Brundage Mountain Resort has a long history of supporting local organizations through pass and lift ticket donations, in-kind contributions, volunteerism and various sponsorships,” says Brundage Mountain Resort General Manager, Ken Rider. “This new fund will open up additional opportunities for monetary donations for the organizations that are already hard at work enhancing our community.”

The new fund will not replace the existing donations program, but it will create new avenues and more options for how Brundage Mountain Resort can raise funds and support area non-profits.

Charities supported by Brundage Mountain in the past include AWeSoMe! (Adaptive Wilderness Snowsports of McCall), the McCall Winter Sports Club, Payette Lakes Ski Club (Little Ski Hill), Central Idaho Mountain Biking Association (CIMBA), the McCall Area Composite Youth Mountain Bike Team, the Payette Land Trust, the McCall Area Chamber of Commerce, Friends of the Payette Avalanche Center, McCall Donnelly Booster Club, the Donnelly and McCall Snowmobile Clubs and countless other non-profit organizations.

More information on how established organizations can apply for funds will be released in early 2024.

“We’re not asking the public to donate cash to the fund,” says Rider. “The initial contributions to the fund came from the Brundage owner group. The public will have the opportunity to support these community giving programs by participating in fundraising events and activities sponsored by the mountain.”
