USA Today Nominates Brundage Mountain as a Top 10 Best Ski Resort Nominee for Third Year in a Row

10/24/22

Brundage Mountain Resort has been nominated for USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice travel awards for the third year in a row. In 2020, Brundage earned top honors among US resorts, claiming second place overall in North America. Brundage placed seventh in the 2021 contest.

On Monday, October 24, 2022, USA TODAY announced that Brundage Mountain will once again be one of an exclusive list of 20 nominees vying for a Top 10 spot in the 2022 contest.

Per USA Today:

“This independently-owned resort in Central Idaho gets more than 320 inches of snow at its base each year. That means skiers and snowboarders enjoy powdery glades and wide groomed runs along 69 named trails spanning 1921 lift-accessible acres. An additional 18,000 acres of backcountry terrain is accessible via the resort’s guided Snowcat Adventures.”

“It’s an honor for a resort like Brundage Mountain to earn repeat nominations for an award like this one,” says Brundage General Manager, Ken Rider. “What’s even more gratifying is that our guests have rallied and voted us into to the Top 10 repeatedly. That tells us that the authentic, Idaho experience that we work hard to deliver every day is noticed and truly appreciated by our core skiers and snowboarders.”

The contest runs for the next four weeks. Each person can register one vote a day, every day, through 10 am Mountain Time, Monday, November 21. Final rankings are determined entirely by online readers’ choice voting.

Vote - Once Per Day

Background: Brundage Mountain Resort is steeped in Idaho history and offers a charming, accessible local vibe. Brundage has been providing a high-value, family-friendly skiing experience for more than 60 years. Known for the “Best Snow in Idaho”, Brundage Mountain is blessed with more than 320 inches of base area snow annually, which creates a consistently satisfying mix of bluebird and powder days throughout the winter season.  Future improvements at the independently owned resort will expand the on-site recreational experience and complement the endless adventure-based experiences on the vast Payette National Forest in Brundage Mountain’s backyard, all while preserving and enhancing the attributes that make Brundage a true Idaho original.
