The Whole Package

12/22/13

122213006What a difference a few days makes. We’ve gone from announcing our opening day with limited runs open to a full-on-100-percent-soft-powdery-holiday-spectacular-ski-snowboard-foot-of-fresh-awesomeness…in just two days!

That means that we are enjoying the “Whole Package” just in time for the holidays.

It’s been snowing almost constantly since Friday afternoon, and slope conditions are getting better and better. (You can view some photos from yesterday here.) Today, we have all lifts operating and 100% of our terrain open. Add in the good times and great music we had along with our Light Up The Night Torchlight Parade and Fireworks Show, and you can see why our spirits are SO high.

Today’s snow conditions were spectacular.

We opened the Lakeview Lift right at 10 am and our visitors were STOKED to enjoy the smooth, velvety groomers.

A lot of powder hounds enjoyed a lot of freshies on the Lakeview side.

Some spots were knee deep!

122213009

In addition to the snow conditions, a lot of today’s adventurers are still basking in the warm afterglow from last night’s big Light Up the Night celebration.

Enthusiastic crowds gathered around the bonfire…

The real excitement hit right after dusk as we celebrated the longest night of the year, first, with our torchlight tradition…
