I’ll admit, my VERY favorite thing is skiing, and being able to announce that Brundage Mountain is opening for the season is not far behind. We’ve had 7″ (UPDATE: 9″!) of fresh snow in the last 24 hours, but we still don’t have quite enough coverage to get it rolling. We are in the midst of a lovely snowstorm right now, and should have a better idea of what’s possible by tomorrow.

In the meantime, there are some really good signs, and I thought I would share my excitement through a feeble attempt to re-write the words to a favorite song.

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS:

Storm clouds that dump little flakes like a fountain…

Bright purple infrared coming our way…

Making new words to this silly old song…

Skis that are waxed and will take me through Spring…

Silver white winter is now on it’s way…

These things make me happy, what more can I say?

When I’m feeling sad…

I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don’t feel so bad.
