In It ... To WIN It

03/29/13

splashA key part of the skiing and snowboarding culture is the ‘go for the gusto’ attitude inherent in a gravity-fed sport. This attitude is on display from Day One of the ski season, as the pent-up demand for downhill thrills causes us to go faster, longer and harder than (maybe) we should.

Every person who’s ever stood in line for first chair on a powder day is ‘in it to win it’. If you’ve ever gone non-stop from first chair to last chair, you are in the game, too.

Here at Brundage Mountain, we’re taking that ‘Go Big’ attitude right to the end. While many other resorts are calling it quits, we still have plenty of snow and lots of excitement ahead of us.

UPDATE: We plan to be open through April 7 and we’re finishing up our daily operations with a special seven-day event, Customer Appreciation Days. Follow this link to learn what that means for Season Pass, Mid-Week Club Card and Select Card holders.

But a strong finish isn’t just about gusto, it’s also about flair.

wrestlerdanceAnd that’s where YOU come in. Our annual “Festival of Flair” is this weekend, and we want to remind everyone that there are big reasons to bring it.

The winner of our annual Costume Contest will earn a 2013/14 Winter Season Pass.

If you want a shot at the title, don’t underestimate your competition.

Creativity and cleverness are key, and judges have been swayed by cunning moves like singing and dancing in the past.

A second 2013/14 Winter Season Pass is on the line in the Pond Skimming showdown. This is definitely a feat of strength, but a little extra flair to get the crowd excited can also influence the judging.

redsolocupWith a weather forecast calling for warmth and sunshine for the first time in years, the Party by the Pond promises to be intense.

This year’s Pond Skimming spectacle is sponsored by Salmon River Brewery. They know how to go big and that’s why you’ll be able to purchase huge flavor treats pond-side starting at 11 am. We’ll have the Udaho Gold, Shiver IPA and Buzz Buzz Porter on tap during the big show.

srblogoYou can also compete in long-time favorites like the Treasure Hunt and Poker Run, and our newest tradition, the Kid’s Pinata Party.

We know our toughest weekend warriors will be back on the scene first thing Sunday for our combo-event. Our annual Easter Egg Hunt begins at 11:00 am and those kids get after it! Learn more.

Sunday is also Celebrate Family Day, which means the whole family skis with the purchase of one Adult lift ticket.

You can learn more about all of our spring events here. The season will be over before you know it, so take advantage of our last couple weeks and finish strong.

See you soon!

– April
