Lasting Memories

02/18/13

02 18 13_8162008It’s been said that photographs “capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce”. (Karl Lagerfield said that).

Maybe that’s what so precious about snapshots of a favorite vacation or long weekend. It can be so easy to forget the little things over time. The awe inspired by a first visit to a new locale. The camaraderie of creating your own party in the midst of a crowd.

Maybe that’s why I’m so fond of photos. They bring us back into the essence of a moment: Not just the mental knowledge of where we were and who was with us, but the feelings we shared and the wonder we experienced.

Here’s a look at a few of the shots I snapped this weekend. I hope it was a memorable one for all pictured.
