Congrats, Nate!!! Brundage Fleet Maintenance Manager Honored With Golden Wrench Award
Nate Hunt, Fleet Maintenance Manager at Brundage Mountain Resort, has been honored by the Intermountain Ski Areas Association (ISAA) with a lifetime achievement award.
Hunt was presented with the Golden Wrench Award during the ISAA Annual Conference held last month at Tamarack Resort. The Golden Wrench Award recognizes excellence in ski area operations and maintenance.
Hunt has 35 years of experience in the ski industry, with a career spanning lift maintenance, lift construction, resort operations planning and design, snowcat repair and fleet maintenance. His experience includes work with Beaver Mountain, Highlander Lift Construction, Sun Valley Resort, Petersen Equipment, Tamarack Resort and Brundage Mountain Resort.
At Brundage, Hunt has developed preventative maintenance programs that have reduced fleet downtime during the winter season, supporting more consistent grooming and day-to-day mountain operations. His team’s work behind the scenes helps keep equipment ready, crews moving and the guest experience running smoothly.
“Nate has cultivated a strong culture of accountability, pride, and ski industry passion within the fleet maintenance team,” said Dustin Johnson, Director of Mountain Operations at Brundage Mountain. “His leadership has strengthened both the reliability of Brundage Mountain’s fleet and the future of its operations team.”
Hunt’s decades of experience, technical knowledge and hands-on leadership made him a fitting recipient of the Golden Wrench Award.
“Nate’s impact has echoed across the entire region,” said Brundage Mountain general manager Ken Rider. “ISAA board members were unanimous in recognizing his achievements, his character, and the affection that he’s earned from so many people over the course of his long and successful career.”
