Trail Closures: Thursday, July 20 - ALL TRAILS CLOSED from Base Area due to Centennial Construction and Helicopter Flights

07/19/23

The Centennial Lift Upgrade project is reaching new heights this week, as helicopter crews embark on the first wave of flights to airlift supplies along the Centennial Lift Line.

Due to potential risks associated with helicopter operations, ALL TRAILS FROM THE BRUNDAGE BASE AREA WILL BE CLOSED on Thursday, July 20.

For those wishing to ride the Brundage to Bear Basin trail as a loop:

A portion of Growler and Lakeview Vista will remain open, but riders MUST access this trail section in one of the following ways:

  1. Ride FS 488 to Growler, to Lakeview Vista, then onto the new B2BB trail
  2. Ride FS 451 to FS 456 to Lakeview Vista, then to B2BB
  3. Do one of the above mentioned options in reverse

As always, public safety is a top priority for Brundage Mountain Resort. We are asking that the public avoid FS 456 above the intersection with Lakeview Vista during these helicopter operation closures.

We expect to announce a few additional helicopter closures in the coming weeks, so please watch this space for the latest updates – and feel free to share our operational and safety information with your recreation-loving friends!

Thank you,

Your Friends at Brundage Mountain
