Snow Much to Love
We’ve been talking about Winter’s Return all week and that’s because it’s just getting sweeter and sweeter as the days go on. We got another 2-3 inches of fresh snow overnight, bringing our total since Sunday to 15 inches.
Slopes are getting smoother with each new inch, and while I wouldn’t call the slopes ‘bottomless’ quite yet, the stuff under the fluff is growing ever more forgiving and predictable.
What’s more, it just FEELS like winter again.
The trees are cloaked in a blanket of white.
Even the restrooms look a little more peaceful with the proper snowdrifts surrounding them once again.
As per usual, today’s early birds got the best of the conditions. Runs groomed last night offered up the sensation of floating rather than carving.
Off-trail areas were forgiving and snow was fluffier than expected.
Slopes turned a touch more creamy by midday, but it was hard to complain.
The past three days have brought back our hopes for winter thrills. And that feeling of snowflakes hitting our smiling faces as we relaxed into the ever-softening slopes.
Welcome back, Winter. We missed you.
