More Pow to Chow
Good morning fellow snow lovers and welcome to your Wednesday Snow Report for February 11th, 2026!
We’ve picked up around 20 inches at the base this week and almost 30 inches at lakeview! There is still plenty of that sweet, powdery goodness to go around.
In fact, we’re sitting on some of the deepest storm totals anywhere in the world right now. Not a bad problem to have.
Now let’s talk about today.
We’re looking at partly cloudy skies with plenty of sun breaks, and temps climbing into the mid to upper 30s. Dressing gets a little tricky in these conditions, so rock some good, shed-able layers so you can regulate throughout the day.
And conditions?
We’ve got a little bit of everything.
The groomers are crisp and fast, with that corduroy that just caresses your boots underfoot. Then dip ten feet off-trail and suddenly you’re scoring some of the deepest turns of your life. It’s kind of the best of both worlds right now.
Coverage is excellent but keep your head on a swivel — there is still the occasional snow shark and hidden features lurking underneath. And hey, I know there are no friends on a powder day… but keep your crew within sight and earshot and look out for each other.
Be sure to check the Grooming Report for the latest updates. Huge thanks to Lift Maintenance and Mountain Ops for getting everything spinning early, and a big shoutout to Brundage Ski Patrol for keeping us sliding safe out there.
We’ve got a little midweek magic happening too — deep snow and minimal crowds. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to cash in some PTO and sneak away to the mountain… this is it.
Brundage is absolutely living up to the “Best Snow in Idaho” title today so don’t miss out on it for something silly like work. Work will still be there tomorrow powder days won’t.
As always, can’t wait to see you all out on the hill for another best day ever.
Thanks for,
– Kickin’ it with Kyle
The following is how we classify grooming at Brundage Mountain Resort:
Groomed this morning: The run/trail has been groomed after 12:01am today.
Groomed last night: The run/trail was groomed between 4:01pm and 11:59pm, after the lifts closed.
Open: The run/trail is open for skiing/riding but has had no grooming operations on it.
Closed: STAY OUT OF THIS TERRAIN. Runs marked closed have not been deemed safe for the public to be on.
Upon entering CLOSED terrain, it jeopardizes Brundage Mountain Patrol’s ability to provide aid to you. Your skiing and riding privileges will also be at risk when entering closed terrain.
Early season conditions exist. It is highly reccommended to stick to open and groomed terrain. Off-piste skiing and riding is not recommended at this time.
