Tuesday Groove!
Good morning, fellow snow lovers! Today is Tuesday, March 24th, and this is your morning snow report from Brundage Mountain.
Spring is in full swing, and with only a few weeks left in the season, now’s the time to get out here and soak in the weather, the views, and the good company.
Temps are already trending warm, sitting in the high 30s to low 40s, so expect it to feel pretty toasty out there — especially if you’re actively ripping laps. Like we’ve seen a lot this season, the forecast is calling for clouds and overcast skies, but I’d expect the unexpected. Don’t be surprised if the sun makes a few appearances. I’d go with a solid outer layer and an easily shed-able mid-layer so you can adjust throughout the day.
Be sure to check the GROOMING REPORT HERE before heading out, as changes are happening daily with the ongoing melt of our snowpack. With 97% of the mountain still open, we’ve got access to just about everything from top to bottom. Hidden Valley is temporarily closed due to extremely variable conditions, but if things allow, it could reopen.
As for conditions, expect morning groomers to start out soft, while some of those shaded or less-traveled runs might take a bit longer to loosen up. Planning your day based on where and when the snow softens will be key to finding the best turns.
Quick heads up: Lakeview Chair will be closing at 2 PM this week, so plan your laps accordingly.
Even with some Idaho mountains already starting to shut down for the season, we’re still in a great spot with plenty of terrain available, so let’s take advantage of it.
It’s also a perfect time to get into the park with the fresh build the crew put together this season. Soft snow, forgiving landings, no better time to progress.
With not much time left, let’s make the most of it and stack some laps at Brundage.
Like always, can’t wait to see y’all out there for another Best Day Ever at our favorite local hill.
Thanks for,
Kickin’ it with Kyle
