'Go Big' This Spring Break at Brundage Mountain

03/10/13

AirbagSkiers and snowboarders can get some high-flying thrills (without taking tough spills) as the US Airbag Tour’s “Jump On It” event comes to Brundage Mountain for three days in March.

The giant 50’ x 50’ airbag will be in the Brundage Mountain base area March 22, 23, and 24 to kick off our local Spring Break period.

These ‘soft landings for super heroes’ cost as little as $2 per jump. More information and a video preview are available here.

The airbag tour is just one of the exciting events happening over Spring Break. Brundage Mountain’s long-standing Crazy Daze tradition continues on Saturday, March 30, with a whole day of fun, free events.

PondSkimDefeat

The fan-favorite Pond Skimming contest takes place at 1:00 pm as dozens of competitors attempt to survive the perils of the chilly 100-foot pond. The winner of that event and also the annual Costume Contest receive a 2013/14 Winter Season Pass.

These action-packed events are designed to be fun for spectators and participants alike. Families will also benefit from two opportunities for youth to ski or ride for free:

Sunday, March 24 is “Gimme A Break” Day, when kids 17 and under are treated to free lift tickets.

Sunday, March 31 is “Celebrate Family” Day. Purchase of one full-day adult lift ticket allows the rest of the family to ski for free. Brundage Mountain will also host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easy Street on Sunday, March 31.

Details on all of these events are available at: www.brundage.com/event-calendar/

Brundage is also expanding mid-week services to accommodate Spring Break visitors. The cafeteria on the 3rd floor will be open every day from March 21 – April 1 to offer extra options for families dining mid-week. Smoky’s Bar & Grill and the SideStash Café are open every day during the ski season.

Brundage Mountain plans to operate seven days a week through April 14th. As in recent years, the ski area will add as many “Bonus Weekends” as possible, operating Saturdays and Sundays beyond that date for as long as snow and weather conditions allow.
