Family Fun at Brundage

08/26/15

PlayStructure7 We at Brundage pride ourselves in having family fun both during the summer and the winter. We are constantly working toward expanding opportunities for the kids and their families who love to make Brundage their play pen, during any season! Check out some of our newest additions, and make the time for a fun-filled, family day!

Our team has built an awesome play structure for all kids to play on! It has two levels, each with it’s own slide, and a huge climbing wall on one side! Complete with shade from the sun and tons of space for kids to monkey around on, this playground is a favorite!

This summer we’ve also been busy putting in a kid-sized beginner bike course that allows for practice before heading out to our more difficult trails. The course starts next to the Bluebird lift and moves down to the end of our easy chair. There is plenty of area to practice bank turns, slight speed, and little dips and raises while the kids (and maybe some of us adults!) get comfortable with mountain biking. Here are some photos of the kid’s race that was held on this very same track a few weeks ago!

Brundage also boasts a kid-sized (and pet-friendly) Nature trail. The trail is a mile long, with very slow elevation change, making it perfect for little legs. The trail winds through a diverse part of our lower mountain off to the left of the lodge. It is home to many small animals, a plethora of different plants and flowers, and if you are lucky you can even see some bigger animals like the deer that wander the trail. Stop by Fall Line retail shop and pick up a pamphlet that explains the trail a bit more.

Don’t forget that Sunday mornings we offer brunch at Smoky’s! Bring the family, help yourselves to our lawn games, practice your biking skills, and make a day of it! We’d love to see your family here!
