"Just Come Out & Have a Good Time" - Our Duathlon Series Is a Custom Fit!
When it comes to the Brundage Duathlon series, you don’t have to train up or even worry about finishing the whole course on your own. Our goal is to make these Friday night events fun for the whole family!
We encourage team players – run one leg or both, have a friend do the bike ride, or tackle the whole thing, it’s up to you!
Here’s a look at our competitors at the start our latest race:
The official course begins with a two-mile run, followed by an 8-mile bike ride, then another two mile run.
But we’re happy to tailor the competition to the competitors. Seven-year-old Aiden Lowry (below, right) won the children’s race, which was run-only this time around.
Bill Honeck and several others attacked the full course; here he is making a quick transition from the first run to the biking leg of the race…
But Randy Russell and Levi St. Clair are close behind…
The St. Clair family came out in full force to divide and conquer. Mom and Dad teamed up with Kari running both 2-mile trail runs and Jeff taking the biking legs.
Luke (above) and Levi (below) did the same with Luke sprinting and Levi flying through the 8-mile bike course.
Sisters Sara and Kristen and visiting cousin Erin assisted with timing and water station so the whole family was involved.
Kari finished the race with a huge smile across her face and is now spreading the word about our final duathlon August 12th.
“We need to let people know you don’t need to train for this – just come out and have a good time!” – Kari St. Clair
