ALL Lifts are Now OPEN!

12/23/17

Kalen Thorien – December 24, 2017

Updated Monday, December 25:

The Lakeview Bowl opened today for ungroomed powder riding, which means all SIX of our chairlifts are now operating daily. All terrain, with the exception of Hidden Valley, is now open. We have all of our primary top-to-bottom runs in the grooming rotation and two more storms headed our way this week. Check the Snow/Grooming reports for the latest, and come see us soon on the Best Snow in Idaho!

Updated Saturday, December 23:

Our fortunes are really changing for the better up here at Brundage Mountain. Snow is falling (six inches in 24 hours), the Bluebird Express opened for the season yesterday, and the Centennial Lift open today. That means all four of our front side chairlifts are in operation now. The Easy Rider Conveyor opens Sunday, December 24.

We’ve also opened the terrain between the Bluebird Express and North today. So while a lot of top to bottom runs remain ungroomed, all of our terrain between North and Temptation is now open.

We have two runs groomed top to bottom: 2+ mile Temptation and now, 45th Parallel.

Red Fox has been added to the growing list of mid-mountain groomers.

Terrain between the Bluebird and North (including Main Street) is now opened but remains ungroomed. That terrain is recommended for EXPERT riders only as early season hazards may be lurking under the snow surface.

Our forecast looks great, with another 6-12 inches possible between tomorrow and Tuesday. Keep the snow dances going, IT’S WORKING!

Here are some images and video from yesterday, as we got to enjoy the upper mountain slopes for the first time:
