Friday Freshy Fiesta

01/16/15

Powder Friday 041019Sometimes, timing is everything. And we couldn’t be more thrilled to get a big blast of fresh snow just in time for the holiday weekend. Mother Nature dropped seven delicious inches of powder on us this morning, and that got our weekend celebration off to an early start.

Snowflakes were still falling as the early birds boarded the lift. Once under the spell of gravity and fresh powder, they couldn’t help but show their pleasure through a series of hoots and hollers.

“WooooHooooo”

“Oh. My. Goodness!”

“That is just plain amazing.”

Those are just some of the outbursts we overheard from our fellow mountain folk this morning.

Groomed runs were a little slice of paradise with a few inches of soft, velvety fluff on top.

But of course, the real satisfaction came in the deeper snow. Prime off-trail stashes and runs groomed last night with seven inches of heavenly fluff on top cushioned our descent.

The forecast tells us we should have just light snow tomorrow – with another big blast coming our way Saturday night and Sunday.

Another dollop of heaven to turn our Friday Fiesta into a weekend-long powder party.
