Brundage Mountain Resort Names New CFO, Welcomes Three Experienced Directors
Brundage Mountain Resort is proud to welcome four Idaho-born professionals who bring a wealth of experience and passion to their new roles on the independently-owned resort’s leadership team.
Todd Armstrong – Chief Financial Officer
Todd Armstrong, previously Brundage Mountain’s Director of Finance, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer for both Brundage Mountain Resort and Brundage Mountain Holdings.
Armstrong, a University of Idaho graduate, has decades of experience in accounting and strategic financial management, with leadership roles across the investment, construction, tech, and commercial real estate industries in Boise.
Born in McCall, Armstrong has deep roots in the area. “Having the chance to help steer the growth and development of Brundage is a dream come true,” he said. “It’s exciting to work at a business that plays such an important role in the community and will continue to be guided by local stakeholders instead of corporate agendas.”
Armstrong, who learned to ski at Brundage Mountain, is excited to relocate to McCall with his wife. He’s been a loyal Brundage skier for 50 years and enjoys the outdoor lifestyle the area offers.
Rachel Wessel – Director of Employee Services
After seven years as Brundage Mountain’s Employee Services Manager, Rachel Wessel is stepping into the newly created position of Director of Employee Services. Wessel has played a key role in revamping benefits and PTO policies to introduce Parental Paid time and Volunteer Paid time off. She also spearheaded the expansion of Employee Housing projects and launched a program to recognize and celebrate the contribution of Brundage Mountain’s winter employees.
In her new role, Rachel will continue her focus on cultivating a company culture that preserves the unique Brundage vibe, keeps the best parts from the past and improves where possible to be a welcome, safe and respectful workplace for all.
“The experience of working at Brundage is special and unique to each person,” says Wessel. “I want to ensure people can come here from anywhere and find the right fit for them and have a great experience.”
Wessel grew up outside of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Business Management and Human Resources. She is an active board member on the West Central Mountains Economic Development Council, and a graduate of the McCall Chamber Leadership Academy. In her spare time, you can find Rachel skiing, rafting, hot springing, entertaining her two dogs and sampling microbrews.
Rebecca Repp – Food & Beverage Director
Lewiston native Rebecca Repp brings 16 years of hospitality experience to Brundage Mountain Resort. Specializing in special event catering and food service management, Repp built her leadership skills in a diverse range of roles across Minnesota, Colorado, Maryland, and New York. A graduate of The College of Idaho, Repp is excited to return to her home state and join the Brundage team.
“There’s a lot of room for creativity and innovation here,” Repp said. “Whether it’s developing new culinary offerings that highlight local Idaho flavors or organizing special events, I love interacting with guests and seeing how our efforts contribute to their enjoyment.”
Outside of work, Repp is an avid distance runner and looks forward to exploring McCall’s trails with her golden doodle, Dixie.
Lilly Davies – Mountain Sports School Director
Born and raised in Ketchum, Idaho, Lilly Davies has spent more than 25 years working in the outdoor industry. After graduating from UC Boulder, Davies returned to Idaho, where she focused on sharing her passion for outdoor education with people of all ages. Her career has emphasized teaching both children and adults to enjoy and appreciate the outdoors.
“I’ve worked in a wide variety of roles, and they all have one thing in common: a focus on helping people discover a passion for learning and playing in our beautiful wild spaces,” Davies said.
Davies has worked as a youth race coach and holds multiple certifications from the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI). She maintains the highest certification in Adaptive Alpine skiing and has the distinction of serving as an examiner in the discipline.
Davies recently moved to McCall with her husband, Stefan, their 4-year-old son, Bruin, and their two dogs, Brighton and Mee-Moos. She’s thrilled to be part of the Brundage Mountain Resort team.
Brundage Mountain Resort General Manager Ken Rider expressed excitement about the new hires and promotions. “Their expertise and love for the area are key as we continue to shape the future of Brundage and deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.”
Brundage Mountain Resort embarked on an ambitious 10-Year Improvement Plan starting in 2021 that includes major upgrades to base area and on-mountain facilities, in addition to expanding winter and summer recreational opportunities and building the resort’s first ski-in/ski-out lodging. Learn more
