Goose Lake Road - Bird's Eye View

11/18/17

Driving the road to Brundage Mountain will be a whole new experience after completion of a $10 million re-construction project. The contractor, Western Construction, released this bird’s eye view of the new road and we thought you might like to check it out.

The parts of the road that underwent the most dramatic changes are featured between 5:20 – 7:30. Enjoy the video and your smoother, straighter ride!

For a ground-level look at the project, check out this link.

The new design might catch some drivers off-guard the first time you travel the road, and there are still a couple of sharp turns.

The first is right when you enter the road from Highway 55 (coming from the McCall side).

The highway is on a downhill grade right here, so be sure to slow down well in advance to make this right turn. (Above).

The other curve you’ll want to be aware of is on your ride DOWN from the mountain. This one can sneak up on you if you’re not paying attention to the speed signs:

That slope on the left of this photo is steeper than it looks. Not a good place for a winter slide off!
