Feeding the Hungry, and the Soul

07/01/15

Collecting Food for the HungryFriday, June 25th marked our annual Food Drive and Rec Fair at Brundage Mountain Resort. The turn out was great! Because of all of your wonderful donations, we were able to donate roughly 350-400 canned food items to Heartland Hunger Resource Center and McCall Food Bank. That’s over 300 lbs of food! Thank you to all who contributed, we could not have done it without YOU.

We also would like to thank local vendors who participated in the Rec Fair. Despite the heat in town, everyone seemed “chill” at the mountain on Saturday. It was awesome to see our community of hard-core bikers come together with our community of beginners and share knowledge, stories, and bike adjustments. We hope to see this continue and grow in the future. That being said, thank you to our knowledge gurus from Alpine Ski Wholesalers, Gravity Sports, Precision Bike Repair, Ridgeline Specialty Sports, CIMBA, McCall Sports Exchange, McCall Trail Running Classic, and Hometown Sports. We loved seeing you all, and are grateful for the information you were able to pass on to the biking community up here.

A special thanks to our friends at Reed Cycles for not only taking part as vendors in the Rec Fair, but also for spending a family weekend at the Mountain with us! No better place for some bonding time than hitting the dirt in the spaced out shade of our trails. Of course, what would family bonding be with out a little competition; “last one to Smoky’s buys drinks”!

What a Successful Weekend!
