Two Seasons, One Weekend
In our multi-tasking, more-with-less, fit-it-all-in world, what’s could be better than a combo deal?
It looks like that’s what our visitors will be getting this weekend. The weather pattern is expected to shift, almost magically, overnight Saturday night. (Check out the forecast here.)
That means skiers and riders will get to experience one ‘spring skiing’ day and, potentially, one powder day, all in the same weekend.
Today was a perfect example of why this is so cool. We enjoyed ALL the benefits of Spring conditions:
Smooth, carve-tastic corn snow.
Creamy, dreamy sun-soaked slopes.
Photo ops and unspoiled views.
And of course, there’s no better time to get children and beginners involved in skiing than when temperatures are comfortable and slopes are soft.
That said, I’d be lying if I tried to tell you I wasn’t equally as excited about this part of the forecast:
The forecast is calling for 2-6 inches of fresh snow between Saturday evening and Sunday evening. Temperatures will snap us back into a wintery reality (at least for a while).
And the prospect of swooshing through corn-diggity, slush-tastic snow on a warm comfy Saturday and watching fresh flakes fall as I layer up on Sunday, simply seems like the best of both worlds to me.
