Spring Renewal
As you can imagine, the 14″ of fresh snow this week has TOTALLY renewed and refreshed our slopes.
In typical Brundage fashion, cool overnight temperatures have dried out yesterday’s snow, and an additional 2″ of fluff is just the delicious topping they need to be softer and fluffier than yesterday!
It’s hard not to find joy in 14″ of fresh powder, but as a new friend of mine showed me last week – bliss is all around us – you just have to look for it, or perhaps, listen for it.
He shared this poem with me during a chairlift ride on a particularly splendid day, and I thought those who read this blog and love the mountains would enjoy it, too.

Every day has it’s own special rhythm
Every day has it’s own special song
Every day I wake up and listen
And it tells me where I belong.
