Ready for a Repeat?

03/24/13

032413010Today was one of those days you hate to see come to an end. We had sunshine, good vibes and exceptional slope conditions.

The groomed runs were smooth and carvable and stayed forgiving all day long.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the snow off-trail, the surface was light and fluffy.

AND – I was even more excited about the QUANTITY of untracked lines still out there waiting to be discovered.

But the slope conditions were just the beginning of what made today so enjoyable.

The weather was close to perfect. The sun was out all day, but it wasn’t so warm that it ruined the snow.

If the delightfully smooth slopes and the fantastic views weren’t enough to keep a person satisfied, we had the added benefit of TWO special events happening at the same time.

P1010670.1Today was Gimme A Break Day, which meant kids 17 & under were treated to free lift tickets.

That was half the reason for the exuberant energy on the mountain. The other: the final day of our three-day visit from the US Airbag Tour.

We had literally hundreds of people give this 14″ kicker a shot this weekend.

Here are a few more of the highlights:

Even though the airbag is leaving, we’ve still got a lot to be excited about. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for conditions that are nearly identical to today’s.

And – we have a fresh, new jump line in our Rodeo terrain park.

032413017But it will definitely keep some of that youthful energy flowing as we celebrate our local Spring Break week.

Don’t forget, we’ve got another BIG weekend planned for the end of our Spring Break week. Saturday, March 30 we host Crazy Daze and Pond Skimming. Sunday, we’ve got Celebrate Family Day and our annual Easter Egg Hunt. More big thrills and big savings ahead. I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely ready for a repeat.

– April
