OPENING DAY IS FRIDAY!

12/18/13

We are excited to announce that we will open for winter operations on Friday, December 20th!

Current snow depths range from 12” at the base to 28” inches at the summit, which will allow the mountain to open for the 2013/14 season.

We plan to operate the Easy Street Lift, the Blue Bird Quad and the Centennial Triple Chair on Friday, December 20th. Visitors can enjoy a discounted $36 all-mountain lift ticket on opening day or purchase a $15 ticket for Easy Street only.

“Favorable temperatures this week have consolidated our snow base nicely, so we have just what we need to start running Friday,” said resort spokesperson, April Whitney.

“We’re also seeing encouraging signs in the forecast which leads us to believe we may be able to open more terrain very soon,” added Whitney.

The National Weather Service is predicting 1-2” of snow Wednesday night, with another 5-11” possible by Saturday morning. Updates on additional terrain and lift operations will be made as warranted at www.brundage.com.

A link to the pinpoint forecast is available on the snow report page: https://brundage.com/the-mountain/snow-report/

Brundage Mountain managers want visitors to be aware that early season conditions exist, off-trail riding is not advised at this point, and that visitors need to obey closures and markings for their own safety. Guests are also encouraged to check the grooming report daily for changes to normal grooming patterns.

Light Up the Night Party Set for Saturday

Brundage Mountain’s annual holiday party is set for this Saturday. The “Light Up the Night” event will feature a bonfire, beer garden, torchlight parade, tree lighting and a slope-side fireworks show. Smoky’s Bar & Grill will be open late with a special menu for Light Up the Night guests. Live music will be provided for guests who choose to purchase tickets for a special holiday sit-down dinner right after the light show.

Full details are available at: https://brundage.com/event/light-night/

More specifics on Friday’s opening plans and a preview of slope conditions will be available Thursday on our Snow Blog.
