Now Taking Reservations for Winter 2024 Snowcat Adventures

10/20/23

Snow-loving adventure seekers can now dial in their plans for a top-ranked backcountry experience. Brundage Mountain’s Snowcat Adventures program is now taking on-line reservations for its guided backcountry tours.

Brundage Mountain’s snowcat adventures operate on 18,000 acres of pristine terrain in the Payette National Forest backcountry. The snowy steeps, tree-lined glades and powdery bowls span three separate peaks topping out at elevations of 8,500 feet.

In operation since the early 1990’s, the program was recently recognized by Men’s Journal as one of the Top 7 Best Snowcat Skiing Operators in the U.S.

“Booking the entire snowcat is definitely the way to go,” says Brundage Mountain spokesperson, April Whitney. “Repeat guests have learned that customizing their own private groups is the best way to maximize the experience. When everyone’s skill levels match up, skiers and snowboarders can get up to 14 runs of 800 to 2,800 vertical feet in a day, which is incredible.”

A new on-line booking system allows powder chasers to check trip availability in real time, which simplifies the process of coordinating group travel. Currently, reservations are open for “private snowcat” buyouts, which include up to 10 seats for $5,000.

To view availability, guests can head to www.brundage.com/snowcat, click the red “Book Now” button, then add a snowcat adventure to their cart, then use the calendar feature to browse available dates.

Bookings for single seats will be available after the opening of the 2023/24 Winter season.

“A backcountry trip delivers everything you love about a resort powder day, and so much more.” says Whitney. “The anticipation, the thrills, the camaraderie, the feeling that you never want it to end. The bonus is that with such a huge expanse of remote terrain, every run feels like the first run of the day and the views on a clear day are nothing short of spectacular.”
