Summer Chairlift Season to Open EARLY

Summer Chairlift Season to Open EARLY

05/29/15

SummerScenicAn early spring thaw and favorable weather conditions are making it possible for us to open summer chairlift season earlier than ever. We have moved our Grand Opening Celebration up to June 20. We are also expanding chairlift and restaurant operations to four days a week instead of the traditional three days a week this summer season.

The Summer Chairlift Grand Opening on Saturday, June 20th will feature FREE chairlift rides for all guests, all day, from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Bike rentals will be available for purchase on-site on a first-come first-served basis.

“The weather has been beautiful so we’re firing up the chairlifts and opening the restaurant early this summer,” said resort spokesperson, April Whitney. “An early melt-off allowed our trail crews to pull ahead of schedule, so our trails are prepped and in great shape for an early opening.”

Brundage expects to have 100% of its trails (26+ miles of hand-built single track) AND a new beginner bike park ready for Opening Day on June 20th. Guests will also be able to enjoy expanded deck seating outside Smoky’s Bar & Grill and check out the new ‘plaza’ which will now be a hub of summer activity.

“We’re excited for people to see all the work we’ve done and for the bikers try out our new trails and features,” added Whitney.

Blog034Guests will get a second chance for free chairlift rides on Friday, June 26, as we host our popular Rec Fair and Food Drive. Anyone who brings a can or container of non-perishable food will be eligible for a free chairlift ride. Food items will be donated to McCall’s own Heartland Hunger Resource Center. The Brundage Mountain Bike Park will also donate proceeds from a huge raffle to the HHRC (McCall Food Bank). This event will also feature local outfitters and retailers showing off the great variety of activities and equipment available in the McCall area.

Brundage will operate Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 20 through Labor Day, with a Bonus Weekend planned for September 12 & 13.

Brundage Mountain is excited to be the host venue for the McCall Jazz Festival on September 12.

Curtis_StigersThe McCall Jazz Festival, is hosted by Curtis Stigers and brought to you by Albertsons and produced by Stigers/Peterson Productions. This year’s jazz festival will raise funds for The Shepherd’s Home, a residential Children’s Home in McCall, Idaho, and Interfaith Sanctuary, a Boise shelter for men, women and families.

The McCall Jazz Festival will feature an impressive and eclectic array of headliners, including one of the world’s most celebrated and unique jazz guitarists, Bill Frisell, veteran NYC jazz saxophonist Jerry Weldon, a longtime member of the bands of Lionel Hampton & Harry Connick, Jr., Emily Braden, John “Scrapper” Sneider, The Matthew Fries Trio, and of course, Boise’s own Curtis Stigers performing with his Jazz Band. More info.

Chairlift and restaurant service will remain open through the weekend of the Jazz Festival.
